Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026. This policy covers both the PodEditor app and this website (podeditor.app).

The app

PodEditor has no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash-reporting service built in. Nothing about how you use the app — what you edit, what you export, how often you open it — is ever collected or sent anywhere. There's no account to create and no sign-in, so there's no user data tied to an identity in the first place.

Your sessions, audio, and exports stay on your Mac, in the locations you choose or that macOS designates for the app's own data (Application Support). None of it is uploaded anywhere by PodEditor itself.

If you use the record feature, audio from your microphone is written straight to your session on disk and never transmitted anywhere — the microphone permission macOS asks for exists purely so the app can capture that audio locally.

Crash reports are handled entirely by macOS's own built-in crash reporter, not a third-party crash SDK. PodEditor never submits a crash report on your behalf; Help ▸ Send Feedback… only opens an email you write and send yourself, with a crash report attached only if you choose to attach one.

PodEditor can export files for use with other services you choose to use — for example, exporting stems to upload to Auphonic. That upload happens on Auphonic's own website, after you export; PodEditor itself never sends anything to Auphonic or any other third party.

Emailing support

If you email hello@podeditor.app — for support, feedback, or a bug report — we keep your email address and the content of your message so we can respond and fix what you reported. We don't share it with anyone else, sell it, or use it for marketing without your separate consent.

This website

This site is plain static HTML with no analytics, no tracking scripts, and no cookies of its own. It's hosted on Cloudflare, which — like any web host or CDN — logs standard request metadata (such as IP address and timestamp) as part of ordinary operation and security. We don't access those logs for anything beyond that.

Children's privacy

PodEditor isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If PodEditor's data practices ever change — for example, an optional feature that sends data to a third party — this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date, before that feature ships.
